Organiser of Vote Leave in Yorkshire and the north of the country during the 2016 European referendum.

Since becoming an MEP, I have volunteered for a number of social action projects around Europe, including working in a hostel for underage children including migrants in Sicily and renovating a centre for victims of the euro crisis in Athens

Successfully contributed as the shadow rapporteur of the European Conservatives & Reformists Group (ECR) to the legislative negotiations on scrutiny of foreign investments in strategic sectors across the .

Whilst in the European Parliament, I worked across the political spectrum and successfully passed resolutions/motions in defence of human rights and rule of law in Myanmar. Witnessing at the Bangladesh border the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya people, I visited the world’s largest refugee camp and returned there several times bringing much needed aid including food and medicines

I also joined forces in campaigning for the release from protective custody of Asia Bibi, a Christian woman being wrongly accused of blasphemy in Pakistan

Also, the other part of the socio-action part of the project is to visit and distribute computers and laptops in remote private schools providing excellent education in difficult terrain across the northern areas like Chitral and Gilgit.

Working with, “Muslims for Britain” to take MP’s and member’s from The House of Lords to Pakistan in order to undertake , “ Project Maja” - a political social-action project to plant saplings as part of PM Imran Khan’s vision to change the landscape and make a major contribution towards climate change, prevent soil erosion, increase water retention and reduce CO2 immersions by increasing oxygen produced by the billion trees being planted.

Working with the British Muslim heritage centre (BMHC) from Manchester to take around the country and exhibit , “Muslim contribution and sacrifices”, in the two world wars in the defence of Britain and Europe and also recognising the muslim contribution to science, medicine, astronomy and exploration, which has contributed to the continued success of mankind.
Non-political Achievements:

Arriving in Bradford, without being able to speak a word of English, I was admitted to university after a few years at a time when very few people went to university.

Starting my own business and falling at the first hurdle, I got up on my feet and started again to make a resounding success in the hospitality industry with restaurants and as a supplier of ASDA (Walmart), thus employing over 300 people across the north and midlands of England.

I served on the board of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce until 2014 when I was elected an MEP.

I established and acted as the honorary secretary of TAARO (Trade Association of Asian Restaurant Owners). This provided representations, support and training for Asian restaurateurs.
